Weekly Classes

These weekly watercolour classes are very informal, but very informative !

Each week we have an exercise ready to teach the group, but we are quite happy if students prefer to bring along a piece of 'work in progress' to work on. We usually find the group divides, with some students taking part in the exercise, others pursuing their own work. We are constantly available to offer advice, demonstrate techniques, encourage and, hopefully, inspire.

The weekly classes are open to all abilities. We currently have students who opened their first tubes of watercolour paint in their first Moor to Sea Arts evening class, through to a few accomplished watercolourists who have recently started selling their work!

These classes are 'studio' based. At Ivybridge we have been lucky enough to have use of one of the art rooms, which not only provides us with more than adequate facilities but is also a constant source of inspiration due to the high quality of art displayed in the department. Harbour House, an arts and yoga centre, has a very creative atmosphere, with frequently changing exhibitions in the gallery on the ground floor.

Students bring their own materials, and a mug. We supply tuition, and tea & coffee throughout the evening.

Due to the informal nature of these classes you may join us at any point, even part way through a term, paying from that point. It is not necessary to book in advance, but due to the popularity of these classes it is advisable to contact us by telephone or email before coming, rather than just turning up.

One word of warning ~ these classes require a sense of humour! There are usually two tutors present as neither of us is prepared to miss this class unless we have to!

COST: fee per session x number of sessions in the term, payable on reigstration. (Payment may be divided into two payments, terms and conditions apply).
No refund for missed sessions.
Students joining part way though a term pay initially for one trial evening (£9.50), then for the remainder of that term at the standard session fee.
