Moor to Sea Arts Tuition
Watercolour Workshops
THEMED WORKSHOPS
This year we are offering a number of themed workshops, based on popular subjects. The focus
for these workshops will be the most useful techniques for the subject being studied.
Typically a themed workshop will be fairly structured, beginning with an overview of the
subject being studied, before moving on to exercises designed to learn and practise techniques.
Your tutor will then demonstrate an easy to follow step-by-step painting incorporating these
techniques, which you will follow to produce a finished painting.
Our intention is that at the end of the workshop you will have not only completed a beautiful painting,
but also have an armoury of new techniques at your disposal for future masterpieces.
OPEN PAINTING DAYS
Open painting days are 'theme free', ideal for those who enjoy an uninterrupted spell of time to paint
under the guidance of a professional tutor. Designed to help you to get the most from your painting,
there will be plenty of time to ask questions and to get answers, which will often include a personalised
'mini-demonstration'. Bring along a piece you are working on, reference for a painting you would like to
try, some of your previous work for critique, or simply a selection of practical questions, and we will
share tips, tricks and techniques with you.
Whichever workshops you choose to attend, we definitely encourage you to bring some of your work along for us
to see. Please don't be shy – it would help us to help you! We recognise that not everyone is ready to exhibit,
and you need not show your work to anyone else if you don't want to!
