Art Breaks in 2018

Sometimes it is nice to get away for a few days and

think about nothing other than painting...bliss!

Doing this with encouraging tutors, amongst like minded artists can greatly enhance the experience, leaving you to go home with fresh inspiration for new subject matter, techniques or new materials to try....maybe even new friends!

We thoroughly enjoy tutoring on art breaks. The atmosphere is relaxed, the enthusiasm for painting is infectious, and the locations very inspiring. You can be assured of a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and lovely food.

The art breaks we have chosen to do in the UK in 2018  are organised  the Field Studies Counci. You will find full details on their websites, but if you would like to contact us directly before booking we are more than happy to answer your queries about the painting that you can expect to be doing.

Faltford Mill was owned by the family of John Constable's. It is where he grew up, and painted one of his most famous paintings, 'The Hay Wain'. On these art holidays you get the chance to stand on the very spot he stood to paint this famous work, to make your own sketches and paintings of this beautiful scene.  Short walks around the mill will take you to other locations he painted in. The atmosphere of creativity on these art breaks is enhanced by this very real sense of the history of painting. Valley Farm was also owned by members of the Constable family; accommodation for your art break may be in one of these buildings!

PRIVATE ART TUITION ON HOLIDAY

Maybe you are going on holiday to the Devon, Cornwall or Somerset, and like the idea of incorporating a few days painting with the guidance of an experienced art tutor. As well as being able to arrange dates to suit, we would be happy to discuss your requirement in terms of subject matter, techniques and venue. If this idea appeals to you give Rob or Siân a call to discuss the feasibility and cost of what you have in mind.
