weekly sketching challenge
Check you materials!
Have you enjoyed sketching in any particular medium this year? is there something you’ve seen that you would like to try out? Take a few moments to reassess your stocks. (Don't forget we mean by spending a few moments testing them, not just adding them to a list).
It’s good time of year to do this! if you’ve been good Santa might help out by replenishing or sending you something new to try.

Norman Rockwell (1894 -1878)
Rockwell was an American illustrator well known for the narrative he was able to portray in his work. Over his lifetime he produced over 4000 (yes, 4K) , most of which are still surviving. He is probably most well know for the cover illustrations of everyday life that he created for the Saturday Evening Post magazine over nearly 5 decades.
Follow the link above for some interesting facts about him, in particular the influence he had on how the Christmas holiday is perceived.
And I’m sure you’ll recognise yourself in the chap in this painting of Rockwell’s!
