book of the week
Starting With Watercolour
This is the updated version of ‘Starting with Watercolour’ by Rowland Hilder. First published in 1966 the pocket sized books so successful that the publisher suggested re-issuing the book in a larger format. With full colour illustrations, more step-by-step treatments it also takes into account developments in painting materials and techniques.

“I find the concept of any Rowland Holder painting being in ‘full colour’ quite amusing. Hmmmm… amazing brushwork and understanding of tone though, well worth a look.”
