Siân’s inspiration for her Sketching Mitts comes initially from the gorgeous textures and colours of yarns… painting with wool! As an experienced knitter and as an artist herself her designs always keep in mind the practical attributes of the different styles she creates. Sian’s yarns are chosen with eco-friendliness very much in mind. Many of Siân’s fingerless gloves start with a delve through her stash of oddments left over from previous knitting projects, combining colours and textures into charming designs that evolve as she knits. Each delightful pair is genuinely unique!

These zany bright and cheerful Sketching Mitts are a very comfortable and practical design.

The pink and blue stripy design of these mitts has a hidden advantage; in creating the pattern the colours are looped over one another on the reverse of the fabric, giving the bonus of an extra layer of insulation. Knitted in a chunky yarn that makes these mitts extra warm and cosy.

The ribbed cuff which snuggles your wrist and the subtle thumb hole hidden in the seam hold the mitt securely in place, keeping your fingers snug but free to move easily.

These mitts are an excellent choice for very chilly days!

SIZE The mittens are designed to fit an average ladies hand. Knitted fabrics are both snug and stretchy in nature, easily adapting to a variety of hand shapes and sizes, providing a comfortable and snug fit for everyone.

YARN These mitts were made using a very soft chunky weight yarn with a luxurious feel. They are flexible enough to scrunch up to wear as a wrist warmer, and stretchy enough to use as a fingerless mitten.

COLOUR The bright colours are a rich mid-blue and a bright fuchsia pink. (Please note that the actual colour of the gloves may differ for their appearance on screen)

CARE INSTRUCTIONS Treat as pure wool. Gently hand wash in cool water. Do not wring. Re-shape while damp. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
